LENEXA, Kan. (Apr. 30, 2018) — Today, Ray Ansari, founder and CEO of HCI Energy, LLC, presented an overview of trends in power generation and distribution to an audience of global professionals on the leading edge of architecture, engineering, construction, transportation, healthcare and energy. The discussion was part of the programming for this year’s Discover Global Markets: Design + Construct conference, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s flagship event series for U.S. exporters.
Held in Kansas City, the Discover Global Markets event features keynote speakers, panelists and presenters covering everything from housing construction opportunities and regional hot spots to enhancing specific aspects of business such as strategic market selection, project financing and global interoperability. The event also provides attendees with an opportunity to network one-on-one with U.S. Commercial Diplomats and Specialists, Visiting International Executives, and Project Primes. With HCI Energy’s patented Hybrid Cube technology poised to make a dramatic impact on the future of energy generation and distribution in many markets across the globe, this event serves as an opportunity to educate attendees about opportunities for utilizing innovative renewable technologies in current and future projects.
“We appreciate the opportunity to get in front of such a dynamic group of private-sector experts, businesses and government leaders who are shaping the face of 21st century infrastructure projects,” said Ray Ansari, founder and CEO of HCI Energy. “I’d also like to thank the
Kansas City Chapter of the U.S. Department of Commerce for inviting HCI Energy to be part of such an engaging event.”
Within Ansari’s presentation, he spoke to distributed energy resources (DER) and the benefits of non-centralized small-scale sources of electricity generation, particularly when resources are connected to a microgrid. He also detailed a few case studies of success, as well as those that serve as cautionary tales if due diligence is not completed in preparation for applying technologies into new markets. Ansari’s presentation was part of an expert panel with fellow presenters Lyle White, vice president and global director business development for power generation services at Black & Veatch, and Michael Bequette, P.E., vice president of engineering for SOR Inc.
The three-day event is being held at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza hotel. Market opportunities throughout the following countries are being represented: Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Guyana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Mexico, Morocco, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan and Turkey.
