Surge Suppressor Specs

Details on the Surge Suppressor

The surge protectors — one in each bay — provide protection to avoid damage to all equipment within the Hybrid Cube. The surge protectors accomplish this by shunting (shorting) the over voltage coming in if there is a momentary surge of electrical or electromagnetic power.

This type of surge protector has been rigorously tested at the Keystone compliance facility which is a federally approved testing facility that is used to conduct many of today’s most advanced and rigorous technological tests. The testing and evaluations conducted at the facility are documented in depth to show the true ability and durability of the surge protector.

Features:
Listed by U.S. Homeland Security for it’s EMP resilience
For use in extreme hot and cold climate conditions
Capable of withstanding 228,000 A

OPERATION:
After restoring power at the Incoming or Outgoing Load Center. The green diagnostic lights on the Surge Protector should turn ON. These LED lights indicate the Surge Protector is operating properly and is monitoring the incoming power source.

If during normal operation a diagnostic light shuts off, have an electrician determine if phase power is applied. If power is present, the unit should be replaced and/or upgraded as soon as possible, call HCI Energy.
