This week, HCI Energy was among the top exporters, global trade leaders and trade assistance providers from across Mid-America who gathered for the 2021 Mid-America Trade Summit. HCI Energy was one of 16 companies from six states across the region honored as an Outstanding Exporter for their export successes. Outstanding exporters were invited to share their export stories — highlighting “best practices” and lessons learned that have contributed to their success.

A significant part of the HCI Energy value proposition is its focus on innovating technology solutions that can address challenges in various locations and geographies worldwide. Utilizing a revolutionary approach to delivering reliable, renewable energy on demand, the company’s Hybrid Cube can power communities, telecom/public safety towers, military ops, disaster relief efforts and many other important initiatives more effectively. With plans to develop an extensive international footprint, the company shared how its Hybrid Cube has been most recently exported to Nigeria and the Bahamas.

The full list of the event’s honorees included Alliance Rubber Company (Arkansas); Alpha Energy and Electric, Inc. (Missouri); Bhatt International (Missouri); Bruckman Rubber Company (Nebraska); Earth Science Laboratories (Arkansas); Franklin Strap (Tennessee); HCI Energy (Kansas); Holtec Gas Systems (Missouri); ISS (Illinois); Leather Brothers/OmniPet (Arkansas); Lubrication Engineers, inc. (Kansas); Radiology Planning (Missouri); Shark OFF LLC (Kansas); The Steco Corporation Inc./Tap Magic (Arkansas); Superior Products International II, Inc. (Kansas); and Ultra-Tech Aerospace, Inc. (Kansas). HCI Energy was nominated by the Kansas Small Business Development Center (KSBDC).

Hosted by the University of Missouri International Trade Center and held each fall, the Summit provides a unique opportunity for attendees to access high-level networking and shared learning opportunities designed to guide export expansion. This premier regional event is a springboard for companies focused on advancing trade and driving business growth.

Embracing the times, this year’s Trade Summit was delivered virtually via Zoom, providing registrants with the flexibility to join the event sessions live while also accessing recordings of all sessions post-event. In addition to the networking and Outstanding Exporter recognition on the evening of Nov. 2, a variety of high-energy presentations were delivered on Nov. 3 with content on igniting international sales, pivoting post-COVID, creative problem-solving and how service companies can make the jump into exporting. A panel session was also held addressing global logistics and supply chain navigation tips from seasoned transportation and logistics professionals.
