Account Executive

HCI Energy is an early-stage original equipment manufacturer that designs and builds hybrid power systems for mission-critical applications. By utilizing a unique “battery first” technology, we incorporate alternative energy to provide a 100% reliable on- and off-grid power system for a variety of applications. As an Account Executive, you'll seek opportunities from both existing and new clients. You will be responsible for finding and closing opportunities that align with HCI Energy’s value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and quotas
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
  • Unearth new sales opportunities through calls, email, researching, and networking and turn them into long-term partnerships
  • Present solutions to prospective clients
  • Provide professional after-sales support to maximize customer loyalty
  • Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs
  • Respond to complaints and leverage internal team members to resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Maintain CRM data and regular reporting on sales, pricing, products, and overall forecasting through the sales cycle
  • Partner with engineering and product management to ensure HCI’s solutions and delivery meet the customer’s needs

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a technical solution sales Account Executive (3+ years’ experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with remotely powered communications systems preferred
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles
  • Proficient with MS Office and CRM software
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational, interpersonal, and team skills
  • Ability to discern client requirements (technical & financial) and match to the organization’s offerings.
  • Ability to lead projects, prioritize and handle multiple requests concurrently, and consistently deliver superior results in a timely fashion
  • A professional business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate
  • A technical degree or similar experience preferred
  • The travel expectation is ~50% (with overnights)
